Customer Reviews: 0 of 0 found this review helpful: too bulky, 2008-03-19 This item is way too bulky - I did not like it at all, and, unfortunately, the company won't accept any returns or exchanges on these type of items. I found a much better item for about $20 at the drugstore - the brand/name is called: "Futuro Night Relief Wrist Stabilizer". Great Splint for Carpal Tunnel Relief., 2008-02-06 I used to wake up during the night with numb, aching hands, even when I wore regular wrist splints. The Pil-O-Splint keeps the whole hand - including the fingers - in a neutral position. Since I've had this product, I haven't once been awakened by hand pain. My hands also feel much better in the morning, and I don't have to do painful stretches to relieve tightness. The Pil-O-Splint is very soft and comfortable, which is another huge difference from other splints. There's no harsh velcro, straps or metal to scratch you or your spouse during the night. I'm really glad I bought these splints. 1 of 1 found this review helpful: Miracle Cure for Nighttime Pain, Numbness in Hand, 2007-12-12 My husband has psoriatic arthritis and, as a result, carpal tunnel syndrome, mostly in his left wrist and hand. For 4-6 weeks he had been waking up at night with pain and tingling in his left hand and forearm. The only relief he found was to sit straight up in bed, which doesn't make for very restful sleep. He had even tried Ambien, but it didn't help. The pain woke him up many times during the night, every single night. That is, until he bought a Pil-O-Splint Nighttime Wrist Splint. The FIRST NIGHT he used it, he slept through the entire night without pain or numbness! He's used it every night since and has had NO pain, NO waking up, nothing! One night he fell asleep without putting it on. He paid for that. About two hours later he woke up in pain. Slipped on the Pil-O-Splint, pain went away quickly and he slept the rest of the night. I HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone with nighttime pain or tingling in their hands/wrists due to carpal tunnel syndrome. They are really serious and have given her basically painfree nights and days as well even though she wears them only at night. Even though I severly sprained my upper forearm, the pain was all the way down into the wrist and fingers. I was in agony. This was a gift from my wish list, whew what a lifesaver! I would recommend this to anyone who has tendonitis or any such condition. It's comfortable, light yet sturdy. The splint part runs on top of the forearm, which is great protection because you would be surprised how many times during the day that you bonk your arm against things. The palm cushioning is a beaded pillow thing, while the thumb is held at a very comfortable position on the outside. I love this thing. I've got some other needs that I'll go back to this company to look for.
